On may1,2025, the group standard t/cciat 0091-2025 polymer cement waterproof mortar for building walls (hereinafter referred to as the "standard") organized and prepared by the building waterproofing branch of China Construction Industry Association was officially implemented. As the main participant of the standard, our company has deeply participated in the preparation of the technical content of the standard in combination with our rich engineering practice experience and technical accumulation, and has contributed professional strength to promoting the upgrading of building wall waterproofing technology.

1. standards came into being and directly hit the pain points of the industry

At present, the problem of water leakage from the external walls of buildings and the internal walls of water rooms is still common in China. One of the main reasons for the leakage is the material performance of the polymer cement waterproof mortar layer, which plays a major role in waterproofing in the wall structure system. The polymer cement mortar prepared according to the original material standard can not fully meet the technical requirements of building wall waterproofing engineering. In this context, the standard takes GB 55030-2022 general code for waterproofing of building and municipal engineering as the benchmark, integrates engineering practice experience, solves problems such as hollowing and cracking, and prepares the performance of polymer cement waterproof mortar and its test method suitable for the waterproofing requirements of building walls in China. It fills the gap in the standard of special waterproof mortar for building walls.

2. technological innovation leads and many breakthroughs fill the gap

The standard showed significant innovation in the preparation process: the index of "tensile bond strength" was included in the material performance requirements for the first time, and was verified by the national construction engineering quality supervision and inspection center and other institutions, providing a scientific basis for evaluating the risk of falling off of the exterior wall system; According to the application trend of manufactured sand, define the green environmental protection indicators such as radionuclide limit, and promote the development of the industry to low-carbon; In terms of technical indicators, adjust the compressive strength to match the base materials such as aerated concrete blocks, optimize the water absorption parameters to improve the bonding reliability of subsequent construction, and fundamentally solve the problem of adaptability between traditional materials and wall structures.

3. comprehensively standardize the system and promote industrial upgrading

The standard covers a total of 9 chapters, forming a complete system from term definitions, classification marks to test methods and inspection rules. Among them, the product is divided into single component (class s) and two component (Class D) according to the components, and is divided into type I and type II according to the requirements of the finishing layer, so as to achieve precise application; In the physical and mechanical properties, multi-dimensional indicators such as mechanical strength, impermeability and durability are considered simultaneously to ensure the stability of the material under different working conditions. In the preparation of the standard, relying on our own engineering practice experience and technical accumulation, our company has played an important role in the optimization of test methods, performance index verification and other links, highlighting the professional accumulation in the field of building waterproofing.

4. connect with the international frontier and highlight Chinese characteristics

By comparing American ASTM, European EN and other international standards, the standards have formed a technical system with international compatibility and local adaptability on the basis of absorbing foreign mortar performance test methods and combining the characteristics of wall materials and building construction requirements in China. Compared with the current domestic standards such as gb/t 25181-2019 and jc/t 984-2011, its specific index design for building walls effectively solves the industry stubborn problem of "excess strength and insufficient matching" of traditional waterproof mortar.

The issuance and implementation of this standard will not only provide a scientific basis for material selection and quality control of building wall waterproofing engineering, but also promote the technological innovation of polymer cement waterproof mortar industry.
